My career started in Residential remodeling. After several years I desired a stronger knowledge of residential construction and the remodeling trades. I subsequently enrolled in Community College where I received my associate's degree in Air Conditioning and Heating. While working in the HVAC field I've gained vast experience in plumbing and electrical. After working with A/C companies, I decided to start my own company in the late '80s thru the early 2000s. Working in this field ultimately led to obtaining a position in a high-rise commercial building in the HVAC Dept. Years later I was promoted to Chief Building Engineer working in class A/B high-rise building within the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area ranging from 125,000 square feet to 1.2 million square feet complex. My area of responsibilities include but are not limited to; Construction Manager of tenant improvement/tenant build-out, contract negotiations, budgeting, assisting with property development and improvement projects, and partnering with Property Managers and Building Owners.
